Dear Leeds TUC Trade Union affiliate or supporter
I am writing to let you know that at the last delegate meeting of Leeds TUC we discussed in detail the very many and much needed strikes we are pretty much all involved in.
We all know that we have to fight back hard to make the gains our members need during this cruel Tory cost of living crisis.
In order to support the strikes we agreed to set up a central Leeds TUC strike fund so that Leeds Trade Union branches taking strike action can apply for funds as needed urgently and branches not yet involved in strike action can contribute – knowing that their money will go where it is needed most – and quickly.
We will also be selling Leeds TUC Xmas cards with all proceeds going to the strike fund.
